Osama not involved in U.S. attacks: Taliban chief
Islamabad, Sept 14, IRNA --

Taliban leader Mulla Mohammad Omar has
said that Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden was not involved in the
deadly terrorist attacks in the United States "as he has no skill to
carry out such attacks."
"The event in America itself is indicative of the acquittal of
Osama because Osama has no pilots," the Taliban chief said in a
statement, read out to a crowded press conference here on Friday, by
Taliban envoy to Pakistan, Mulla Abdul Salam Zaeef.
"Where did he (Osama) train them (pilots)?" questioned the
Taliban leader.
He said that training of pilots is the work of "a running
government" and "only such government has the capacity to do so."
"In Afghanistan, there is no such possibility for the training,"
the statement said.
He said that crashing a plane into a building, committing suicide
and killing others is not in the capacity of any one except a pilot.
"If some one claims, they were not trained pilots, it will not
be convincing", he added.
"If the pilots have been trained, it should be found out where
they were trained," Omar asked and added, "If they were already
trained pilots, then it also should be found out, who they were, and
where from?"
He said that despite these facts, implicating Osama will be an
intentional move to malign him.
"If some one tries to link the incident to Osama unjustifiably and
without any reason to add to his reputation and the intelligence think
it to be an easy way for them to consider their duty fulfilled, but
it will an intentional effort," Mulla Omar said.
He stressed the need that everyone should be wise enough to think
independently.

End
