AFP. 21 March 2002. Milosevic wants more rest days between court
sessions: lawyer.

THE HAGUE -- Former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic will demand
extra days off between court sessions so he can better prepare his
defence against charges of war crimes and genocide, one of his lawyers
said Thursday.

"It will be a very formal request and we are going to put it in front of
this trail chamber demanding very strongly for him after every seven or
eight days to have two or three days of rest," Dragoslav Ognjanovic
said.

"He is as a matter of fact exhausted over this very very intensive
trial," the lawyer said in an interview with the Dutch news programme
Netwerk.

On Wednesday, the war crimes trial against the former Yugoslav president
was suspended for at least a week because he was suffering from flu.
