According to Shi Hongsheng, general manager of the Fujian Chongfu Foreign Labour Co-operation Co Ltd, there are two plans on how to bid farewell to Lin Chunmei and Cai Xianyang, who were sent to work in Israel by the company based in Putian, East China's Fujian Province. One plan is that the bodies be shipped back to China. The other is that the bodies be taken out of Israel and cremated. Shi said a final decision has yet to be made. However, family members are going ahead with the procedures of applying for passports. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation yesterday urged the labour export company to refrain from sending more labourers to Israel. The ministry also urged all Chinese people to take care in the war-torn region and to stay in regular contact with the Chinese embassy in case of emergency. The labour company is now doing its best to win national treatment for the victims, according to Shi. The company insured their workers against personal accident, injury and death. He also disclosed that the Israeli Government has recommended that the National Insurance Institute of Israel handle the matter of providing pensions for family members of the Chinese victims. Although the representatives of the company are negotiating with the insurance institute on the details and amount of money that the families will receive, it is too early to say what amount will be offered, Shi added.
