Half of Germans Oppose Bush's Anti-Terror War:

BERLIN, April 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Almost half
of Germans are against
the anti-terror war by U.S. President George W.
Bush, results of a
latest major poll showed.
The Bush
Administration's policies got negative evaluations
among German people
in general, said the poll conducted by survey
institution Emnid on
1000 residents.
In terms of escalating crisis in the
Middle East, only 28
percent of German residents favor Americans'
policy in the region,
said the poll.
Latest polls have
shown Germans expressed more sympathies to
Palastinians than
Israelis.
The survey also found Germans are skeptical of
German-U.S.
relationship. It said that a half of people questioned
thought the
U.S. doesn't consider Germany as its ally
seriously.
Compared with his predecessor Bill Clinton,
only 18 percent
said Bush is "a better politician," according to the
poll.
