Romanian Defence Ministry informed that arms and equipment for them were shipped to Qatar by sea and then delivered by US aircraft to Kandahar, where Romanian troops are deployed. On Sunday, the red scorpions (dubbed thus because of the colour of their headgear) will begin their first mission ensuring the Canadian Defence Minister's security who is arriving in Kandahar to wrap up the Canadian mission in Afghanistan. After the Canadians depart, Romania will be running the second largest task force, coming after the 3,000 US troops assigned to the US tactical force Panther who have been deloyed to Kandahar over the past two days. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
