The GUUAM emerged as a regional economic league, and took a political colouring only later, he pointed out. Meanwhile, the GUUAM efficiently promotes teamwork on many issues, and ought not to be given up. It does not contrast itself to any other organisation, and has not done whatever harm to anyone. Rivalry was not the purpose when the GUUAM was established.
