"Any war is madness", the bishop emphasised. He is confident that there is still a possibility of resolving the problem around Iraq in a peaceful way through the United Nations, through the inspectors. "It would be triumph of the reason of the 21st century", the bishop said. According to him, if a war in Iraq begins "a serious coup will happen in the world". "Legal norms, in particular the UN norms which existed up-till now, are being violated - without the world public's consent a small group of countries is taking a decision that will change the world order," bishop Feofan stated. He noted that when "a unipolar world order is being imposed" any globalisation and integration are out of question.
