Polish Radio December 10, 2009 NATO defence talks underway -The Conference...gathers participants from NATO and partner nations, including countries from the Alliance's Mediterranean Dialogue and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Asia-Pacific region. The first annual NATO Conference on WMD Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation starts in Warsaw today. More than one hundred senior officials representing countries from five continents, as well as a number of international organisations and academic institutions, have come to Poland for the two-day event. The Conference, hosted by the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, gathers participants from NATO and partner nations, including countries from the Alliance's Mediterranean Dialogue and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Asia-Pacific region.
