When it comes to networking gear you really do get what you pay for. I'd 
stick with an HP, Cisco, Foundry (now Brocade, I guess), or Nortel. 
Avoid any manufacturer that also has products in the home office line 
like Netgear, D-Link, Linksys, etc. as they'll either immediately or 
later-on down-the-road give you issues. Issues are definitely not 
something you want on your storage area network. Stay away from 
garbageware switches!

That said, I've had very good luck with Cisco 3560G models and HP 2800 
series. The HPs are about 1/4 to 1/2 the price of the Cisco, and come 
with a lifetime warranty, lifetime software upgrades, and a couple other 
benefits. I'd reccommend the HP if you don't have a requirement for the 
rich featureset the Cisco brings to the table.
