Hi,
I've been having a lot of troubles with my linux box, this is the short
story:
my server keeps shutting down, no really clues.
The server has 512RAM 1GBswap 20GbHDD 600Celeron, under RedHat7.1,
I have installed aolserver3.2+ad12 and running Oracle 8.1.6 and Postgres 7.1,
the installations has been done a couple of weeks ago.
Actually, we have four web services running there, one with ACS3.x oracle and
the others are under openacs3.x. (everything runs ok)
I have seen that in the night, when almost nobody is connected to any web
service all the NSD process takes like 80% of the RAM, when you add it with
the weight of oracle & postgres you're swapping all the time!

so my server keep shutting down, if I see /var/logs/messages
this is the last thing that the log register before the restart (when restart
it start to fix inodes...)

Jul 23 21:27:48 localhost su(pam_unix)[1103]: session opened for user root by
nsadmin(uid=50\
2)
Jul 23 21:46:21 localhost syslogd 1.4-0: restart.
Jul 23 21:46:21 localhost syslog: syslogd startup succeeded
Jul 23 21:46:22 localhost kernel: klogd 1.4-0, log source = /proc/kmsg
started.

please help me, I don't know what to do now, should I downgrade to
aolserver3.2+ad10?

Thank you,
Rocael.

By the way, we were running successfully the same services in the same box
using RH6.2+aolserver3.2+ad10+postgres7.0.2+oracle8.1.6 for months... =(
