OK, the results are in:

AOL IM (25)
freenode IRC (21)
Yahoo! IM (13)
AltMe (4)
Jabber (4)
MSN (2)

The number in parenthesis is the "score" based on the voting. First
choice has weight 4, second choice 3, down to 1 for fourth choice. I
did NOT vote at all -- the above scores are based on everyone's
responses.

Given the slant towards AOL IM and freenode IRC, I'm going to work on
mangling TiK [http://tik.sourceforge.net/] to build an IRC bot to bridge
an AOL IM chat room with the freenode IRC #aolserver channel.

Until then, the chats will be held on AOL IM group chat (you must use an
AIM chat client to access these -- they are not accessible from within
the AOL client's group IM chat). It saddens me to think this may
exclude some of you from the online chats, but I'll work on whatever
possible to make sure as many of you can make it from a technical
perspective.

For now, the only scheduled chat is the AOLserver 4.0 Documentation
review chat, 4:00-5:00 PM US/Eastern time daily, in the AIM chat room
"AOLserver". IM me for an invite, or use this URL:

    aim:goChat?roomName=AOLserver&exchange=5

As I get more organized, I'll schedule regularly recurring chats for
bug/support review as well. Stay tuned ...
