If the url argument to this function is not fully qualified, i.e. /login.html, what is the actual request? I am using it happily on my development box, which is listening on localhost, but on a live server it doesn't ever return.
I think maybe it qualifies if for me with hostname, because that will go to the wrong address, as these are all in a private network behind a load balancer. Anyone?
