Further clarity: in http.tcl, I narrowed it down to a call to ns_sockselect inside _ns_http_puts. The ns_log commands weren't doing anything but I used return and error commands judiciously to see how far it could go without crashing. So anyway, how can I figure out how and why this is being called and therefore why it is crashing when ns_log won't talk to me?
