It's something we've considered, but the last time we looked at it,
very few people in the world were supporting hCalendar, and it didn't
seem to be gaining steam. And those who /were/ supporting it were all
over the map with how they handled venues.
Eventful event supported hCalendar at one point, but I believe that's
been lost with a recent site redesign.
It's been a while since we've looked at it, though. Do you have any
favorite sites using hCalendar?

hCalendar is used on the (90% complete, Atom & iCal support yet to be
added) semantic events listings http://svc.sl.net.marvulous.co.uk/event/1399
It's also used on the rezdays calendar, which is also available in Atom
and iCal: http://svc.sl.net.marvulous.co.uk/rezdays.html

With the current rewrite I'm working towards, I'll be adding OOP support
for OpenSim data sources, which would (assuming it was adopted :-P )
expand the number of sites implementing microformats, of which hCalendar
is only one. http://opensimulator.org/
On a related note, I'll also be working on the eventful-compatible
server software so peeps can grab the SL data using the same client
interface libraries as they use for eventful.com :-P

p.s. I can't remember whether I enquired about the eventful-compatible
server stuff on the mailing list or in private email, as it was a while
ago :-P
