Hi Lukas,
I'm not sure I understand your question. It's true that most venues in
Europe will be geocoded at the city level, because that's the best
data we have on hand. The specific latitude and longitude from your
example shows me the center of Leipzig in Google Maps, so it looks
correct:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&ll=51.339800,12.371400&z=14
Do you have a different value for the centroid of Leipzig, or perhaps
another example?
Cheers,

Hello,
I'm trying to use your API, and I have question about latitude,
longitude and geocode_type. Geocode_type is always set to City Based
GeoCodes in my results (http://api.eventful.com/rest/events/search?app_key=xxx&location=50.0,14.0&within=100
), but some latitude and longitude aren't centroid of city. For
example:
<venue_url>http://eventful.com/leipzig/venues/arena-leipzig-/V0-001-000746351-7
</venue_url>
<latitude>51.3398</latitude>
<longitude>12.3714</longitude>
<geocode_type>City Based GeoCodes</geocode_type>
and:
<venue_url>http://eventful.com/leipzig/venues/exhibition-centre-leipzig-/V0-001-000999880-4
</venue_url>
<latitude>51.3398</latitude>
<longitude>12.3714</longitude>
<geocode_type>City Based GeoCodes</geocode_type>
Is it some bug, or I didn't understand your XML API?
Thanks for your help
