Hi Keith, There is indeed a hidden "redirect on single result" parameter. You can use it like this:
https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/first?occurrence_id=urn:catalog:USF:Herb:261924 <https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/search?occurrence_id=urn:catalog:USF:Herb:261924&advanced=1> We are thinking of improving the API so users know what the GBIF ID would be (i.e. a combination of datasetKey and occurrenceId), but if that happens it will be next year some time.
