In this episode of PING, APNIC’s Chief Scientist, Geoff Huston discusses a new
measurement project that he and fellow APNIC Labs colleague Joao Damas
established to measure the use and performance of the QUIC protocol (RFC 9000).

Listen now

Although QUIC has only recently been standardized by the IETF (May 2021), it
has been around since 2012 with an initial public release included in Chromium
version 29, in August 2013. After nine years, how widely is QUIC being used and
is it improving the reliability, security and speed of the Internet, as
promised?

Read more about QUIC on the APNIC Blog and view how widely QUIC (HTTP/3) is
being used by region/economy/network.
