We can get uploads that fix important bugs unblocked during the Jessie freeze [1] until December 5, so this timing is very good for Debian. (Mostly likely, what we can get in will be 2.9.0 + a few cherry-picked fixes for the most important bugs, rather than the full 2.9.1. We'll see.)
