Hello to apple growers in northeast NY and the Champlain region.

There is still time to attend Cornell Cooperative Extension's 2010 Upper Hudson / Champlain Commercial Fruit School, which is taking place next week, on Thursday, February 25, at the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George NY.

Certified New York and Vermont pesticide applicators can earn 4.00 re- certification credits. Our speakers for the full-day program include Drs. Terence Robinson, Rosenberger, and Rickard of Cornell, and George Sundin of Michigan State. Also speaking are Peter Jentsch of Cornell and Jim Allen of the New York Apple Association.

Registration cost ranges from $25 to $60 per person depending on enrollment status in the Northeast NY Fruit Program.

Program registration includes concurrent trade show admission, morning refreshments, and a luncheon buffet.

To Register and to request a complete Program Agenda, contact Nancy Kiuber at (518) 885-8995 or n...@cornell.edu. (Limited Exhibitor space is still available and vendor inquiries are welcome.

Please call by Tuesday morning, February 23.

After Tuesday morning, Walk-ins and later registrations - though still be OK - they will carry an additional $10.00 late fee and may not guarantee lunch. Calling ahead ensures lunch!, and avoids the late fee.)

Regards, Kevin Iungerman,
