The American Pomological Society is searching for a new editor for the Journal of the American Pomological Society.  The Journal is the most important output of our society, and therefore, the editor is likely the most important position.  We would very much like to find an enthusiastic individual with enough experience to take on this extremely important role.  If you are interested, please review the following documents:

A list of editorial duties, compensation, and approximate time commitment
http://people.umass.edu/autio/APS_Editor_duties_and_compensation.pdf

A draft agreement between the Editor and the Society
http://people.umass.edu/autio/APS_Editor_agreement.pdf

Interested applicants should email a letter of interest and an electronic version of their CV (condensed to include editorial experience primarily) to me (au...@pssci.umass.edu) by July 19, 2010.  The Editorial Committee will review applications and make a recommendation to the APS Board at the Annual Meeting.

If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
