As a follow-up, see:
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/MiscInfo/Hardware/apple2pc.joystck
who detail converting an Apple joystick to Pc, it has all the pinouts,
and if you read it 'backwards' ;-) you should be able to make an Apple
joystick.
Ben.

also see:
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/MiscInfo/Hardware/joystick.convertor
and
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/MiscInfo/Hardware/joystick.ibm2aii
and
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/MiscInfo/Hardware/joystick.pcmod
in-fact almost all of the info in:
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/MiscInfo/Hardware/
is worth reading, and book marking.
