Steven....well in 1984 I was a captain in the Army at Ft Bragg...my first computer was a Heathkit H8 which I built from a kit in 1978 or so. It had a whopping 16K of RAM into which you loaded a 12K Basic from cassette tape. You booted it up by entering split-octal commands into the front panel; the display was also a kit that gave you 12 lines of 80 characters each, text only. I was ecstatic when I got the original Apple II....my, how far we've come...especially when I use my better half's G4 with dual 1.25GHz G4 CPUs and a LCD display.
Heck, I've got my own computer museum here with the Apple II, IIe, two 512K Macs, one of which started out as a 128K and was one of the very first sold on the east coast, a Classic II, two iMacs and the G4. Now I feel real old...better go relax. ;-) Dino -- Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
