The PC Transporter is an 8086-compatible PC on a card. It allowed you to plug in external PC drives and run MS-DOS on your Apple //.

I had one in a IIGS way back when.

Somewhere in my collection of stuff I have a QuadRAM Apple IIe board that fit into a ISA slot on an original IBM PC.

It is effectively a IIe on a card, and if memory serves me, would read/write Apple compatible disks on the original PC floppy drives.

Sometimes people forget that once-upon-a-time Apple compatiblity was a plus on other personal computer platforms.

Speaking of Apple/PC compatibility; I pick up a very used, very yellow IIe a while back that had a "PC Transporter" card installed. What can you do with that card ?

This old yellowed unit was likely someone's "baby" for many years; it also had a Transwarp IIe card, two super serial cards and a large AE memory card with a daughter card attached.

Regards to all;

Believe it or not, this is a Tandy list. How you ask? Well, ... I know that in the garage I have a Tandy 1000 with an Apple board in it. But, this is what amazes me, I have an Apple II C+ with a Tandy 5 1/4 low density drive attached to it. I never knew that Tandy made Apple compatible drives but it is obvious they did. I would think they are quite rare. Of course, I have many other Apple IIC+s laying around, but they all have the same Apple Original 5 1.4 drive or an AE drive on them. But a Tandy? Blew me away. How many of you have seen a Tandy Apple II drive before?

Good to have the list up and going again. I have lots of Apple II stuff around my house. I love it, and have a whole school full of them, plus a dayschool. All mine.
