I haven't had much of an opportunity to use it, but I can answer
a couple of potential questions:

This is an 8-bit Apple IIe, so it will not run GS/OS.
Beyond floppy drives (two 5.25" and one 3.5") and a joystick there
isn't much of an opportunity for expansion, hence a modern machine
with an emulator is just as good in many cases.
It does not work with a communications slot ethernet card or in
32-bit mode, so the LC would pretty much be a dedicated IIe.
On the other hand, it does allow you to use real Apple II floppies
and should allow you to use copy protected diskettes (I haven't
tried that). It should also allow you to transfer floppies to
a real IIe, including the IIe card, more easily (again, untried).

Byron.
