While I generally agree that a ZipGS or Transwarp GS is worth
significantly more than a Vulcan, 20 MB on an 8-bit Apple II is
pretty good.  On a IIgs, while it isn't great, it is satisfactory.

The man reason for the accelerator card being worth more is the
multitude of mass storage options out there.  Heck, if worse came
to worse you could you AppleTalk and a RAM disk.  It would also be
significantly more difficult for a third party to design an accelerator
card.  (As we have witnessed in the past couple of years, RAM cards
and IDE controllers are within reach.)
