Well, if nothing else works, you can allways locate the file with the bad
sector(s), rename it to "BAD.SECTOR" and lock it, and then reinstall the
launcher software in order to get the same file again :-) . Be carefull to
just rename it, and not copy or move it to another directory, because you do
need the old file to stay in the very same sectors that have failed.

If you have a sector editor or any other low-level disk utility that lets you
manipulate the filesystem, maybe you could also write down the list of
sectors where the damaged file reside, delete it, and then modify the volume
bitmap in order to mark the bad sector(s) as used. That way, you won't have
to deal with a dummy file, and as the sectors are marked used but aren't
assigned to any file, it will be completely safe. Or at least until a
volume-checking utility tries to "fix" it... (don't know of such an utility
for the Apple II, but it can exist).
