I had the AE Viewmaster 80 for over 20 years and it didn't come with any
software. I still have it but I only used it for a few years before I
replaced my Franklin with a refurbished //e, which is what I still use.

You might be thinking of the software 'Plus-Works II' from Norwich Data
Systems, which I also still have, that modified early versions of
AppleWorks to work on the ][+ and Franklin systems. This also modified
AppleWorks to use the extra 64k of memory in my Franklin as well as it's
numeric keypad as function keys for AppleWorks. I used this system until
just a year ago when I got a //e with an 80 column monitor, on which I
now use AppleWorks 3.
