The connection for the //e is the same for the older models as it is for
the platinum //e, so yes, you can use any that you can find. If you can
find a heavy-duty unit, those of course, would be preferable, especially
if you plan on having a bunch of cards in your machine.
Check on ebay--the power supplies show up every so often. I even found a
HD unit in a //e discard that worked perfectly. :)
