Absolutely. There is not a program, except for some games, that don't benefit from running at a faster speed. And the speed can be changed with a single keypress at any time.
For example, try compiling with ORCA/M. A program that took minutes on my real Apple IIgs now can compile in less than a second. GS/OS boots in less than 5 seconds. Shrinkit can pack/unpack archives in a blink of an eye. I could go on and on.
