Didn't know there were a 1.7 ROM. Thought you had to

I made an offer of $150 before. $250 is just a bit high,
I believe, unless you're a newbie and don't really have
a clue.
I bought a broke one about 1 1/2 years ago, fixed it,
and sold it for, I think, $125.

That was to me. :)
I've still got it, and it works fine running at 8Mhz. But it has a few
interesting quirks that I cannot explain, probably leftovers from when
it was broken. For one, I have to hold down OPTION to boot with it,
otherwise I get an error message that halts boot-up completely.
Further, I have to immediately enter the control panel, disable it and
change the "System Speed" to Normal/Slow.
Then I can let it boot into GS/OS. After I'm all booted up, I can go
back into the control panel and set the System Speed back to "Fast" and
then turn the Transwarp back on as well. It then operates flawlessly at
8Mhz until I power down. If I don't enter the control panel initially
and set the system back to 1Mhz before I boot GS/OS, for whatever
reason the Transwarp will NOT be operating once I'm booted up and the
system will function at 2Mhz regardless of whether or not the Transwarp
control panel says its turned on or not. Do not ask me to explain this
behavior, it baffles me. But it has done this consistently since day
1. Perhaps someone here can offer a technical explanation of why this
happens?
Either way, I am 100% happy with my purchase and I think Bill gave me a
great bargain. The card functions effectively just as it should,
especially after I figured out ways around it's little quirks. I'm glad
to save a few hundred bucks any day on a mere technicality. :)
