To me, the two things are related.
No one should be into Apple II's for the money, but for the love of the
platform, or for the love of nostalgia, or both.
When people start talking about wildly inflated prices for Apple II
hardware, it commoditizes the platform, and places barriers against those
working with this stuff for the love.
Which is why I pointed out the low low MONETERY value of GS'es.
IMHO, the more affordable Apple II stuff is, the more people who will
still use it, or try it for the first time. THIS is what's best for
everyone.
