An apple II c plus has a serial port on the back..
Can it be a terminal for a linux system?
Can it emulate a VT100?
With the proper software, yes, it can without problem. There are
terminal emulators that emulate VT100 terminals both by direct serial
connection (null modem) and through a modem. The only limitation is that
the Apple II series don't support colored text, so you'll be limited to
emulating a monochrome terminal, and that an Apple II's keyboard lacks
some of the extra keys found on terminals and PCs (F1-F12, Insert,
Delete, etc.).
I Have the AppleIIC monochrome 9" monitor.. Did apple ever make a 9"
color monitor
for use in the same manner?
Apple made a 14" color monitor specifically designed to work with the
//c+. Of course, you can use any composite color monitor or color TV,
but it won't look as cool ;-) .
