For clarification, here is an eBay link to the monitor I am looking for:

http://cgi.ebay.com/APPLE-Color-Composite-Monitor- A2M6020_W0QQitemZ8747393356QQcategoryZ80286QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem

It literally looks almost exactly like a IIgs monitor from the front, but the screen is 14" instead of 10" or whatever the IIgs has. Plus it is a composite monitor, not an RGB like the IIgs.

This particular one says "AppleColor Composite Monitor" on the back, these were the later editions. The one that I used to have said "AppleColor Monitor IIc" on the back, but it was otherwise absolutely identical. I think the ones manufactured pre-1986 had the "IIc" text on the back and the 1986 and later said "AppleColor Composite Monitor".

Thanks,
  Nat

Hey folks...

I am looking for an Apple Color 14" monitor. These are the composite-type with the RCA input.

Sometimes they say "Apple Color Monitor IIc" on the back. No, these are NOT the small 9" green-screen IIc monitors nor do they resemble them in any way aside from having a CRT and Apple logo.

These are also NOT the IIe Apple Color monitors that are boxy and ugly with the controls along the right side.

These are the kind that look like a larger version of the IIgs RGB monitor but have a flip panel that opens along the bottom revealing fine-tuning control knobs.

If anyone has a spare they would part with please let me know. I would prefer one that has seen very moderate to minimal use in it's lifetime. I recently bought one on eBay with an October 1985 manufacture date for $50 (after S/H) and it didn't last me three months before blowing. I was overcharged and I didn't even get any good use out of it.

Prefer non-yellowed condition but will consider otherwise.

Thanks!
