Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this all pans out. But, I guess being 
that if you don't buy the subscription you still get security updates, that'd 
probably be adequte for me. True, that you won't get updated packages, but then 
again with a new release coming out every 6 months you could just wait for the 
next release to get updates. Also, updates just tend to break things. I'd 
rather have a stable binary install base, install security updates as they are 
released and then update when the next release comes out in 6 months. Just my 2
