Have you tried a different CL implementation to see if you get similar errors?

Try loading up the source files by hand in the order they are shown in

lisbuilder-sdl.asd

I find the errors are easy to spot that way.

Are you able to compile and run the sample code from the SDL help files?

Since we use SDL and CFFI we are theoretically compatible with any OS
where CFFI and SDL are also compatible, but in practise most of our
problems have been related to locating libraries and other pathing
issues.
