I've always dislikes =item for defining functions/methods within pod, I
find =head2 much more suitable, for the simple reason that =head2 creates
a link/TOC item in Pod::HTML.
Would anyone object to me going through and changing this? (for my
instance() patch I won't for now, so think of this as a separate task)
