After several days of trying and failing i managed to get qbankmanager
to run on my debian box, thanks to Thomas Viehmann's hint.

I'm using a cyberjack2 reader for my ddv1- card and had a successful
qbankmanager session - right after setting it all up. Transmissions,
reports and so on worked beautifully.

After a reboot of the system chipcard2-tools can't access the card
reader any more.

        chipcard-tool list

reports the reader correctly, but

        chipcard-tool check

gives this error:

        [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ chipcard-tool check
          Readers:
          - auto1-cyberjack2 (cyberjack2, port 0): error
        Event log:
        13:22:40 Reader listing
13:22:44 Reader error (Unknow error code)

(same as root)

chipcardd2 is running and configured as typ=local with socket path. No
changes to that since my homebanking session. The socket file is deleted cleanly when the daemon shuts down. A Reiner-SCT script to read "Geldkarte" amounts from the card still works, so the reader seems to be half-way alright.

I tried a

        strace chipcard-tool check

which of course whacked me with output, so i don't post that here except
for a small excerpt, see end of mail.
Thanks for any hints!

(lines beginning with gettimeofday are repeated dozens of times in the
output)
