I think you're confusing the online banking methods with each other. 
Gnucash/aqbanking supports specifically *only* the (German) "HBCI" online 
banking, or the (U.S.) "OFX DirectConnect" online banking.

If your bank doesn't offer any of the two (which I'd guess, as it is neither 
in Germany nor in the U.S.), aqbanking cannot support the online banking 
here.
