configure Gwen and AqBanking here on my 64 bit SuSE 11.0 (as well as
9.3):

 

Gwen:

./configure --libdir=/usr/local/lib64 --prefix /usr/local

 

AqBanking:

./configure --with-qt3-libs=/usr/lib/qt3/lib64
--with-kde3-libs=/opt/kde3/lib64

--libdir=/usr/local/lib64 --prefix=/usr/local

 

I prefer to have the stuff I build myself in /usr/local so that it is
safe

from possible package updates.
