Oops, sorry, I was completely wrong. The conflict you wrote about is the gwenhywfar_plugin directory and the dtaus.la is from aqbanking's src/plugins/parsers/dtaus (which I confused with the imexporter instead). In this case I have no idea how to solve this conflict, as indeed dtaus.la from aqbanking-4.0.0 and a previous 3.x version will be installed into the same directory and with the same filename (due to the -avoid-version argument in Makefile.am). But both aqbanking versions would rely on the same gwenhywfar version, which means we cannot get rid of the identical directory issue. We only could try to have the new aqbanking version write the file with a filename including a newer version number, or something like that. Otherwise, indeed one cannot have a parallel install of aqbanking-4.x and aqbanking-3.x with the same gwenhywfar. Only a gwenhywfar and aqbanking-4.x into a separate --prefix would work.
