Jeremy, There has been lots of discussion on this point.
Users already have several X based graphical browsers to choose from.
The main objective of the Arachne port to Linux is to make a "pure CLI"
graphical browser.
This will give those who have chosen not to (or can't) install X on
their systems, something they never dreamed would be possible.
(full "graphics enhanced" web pages, without an X server)
Many of us who have been using the DOS version of Arachne for years now,
would love to be able to use it in Linux also. (without DosEmu)<g>
IMHO, The only thing worse than DosEmu is Wine.<vbg>
A "pure CLI" version of Arachne would free us from all 3.
