Ok - I was extensively experimenting with chkdsk /f, ndd and Arachne,
and I think my problems are related to ndd not being really compatible
with extensions DR-DOS 7.01 brings to FAT/16 (ndd has turned some lost
chains into password-protected files, and additionaly, the problem seems
to be related also to pending undeleted files). So I am using chkdsk
instead of ndd now, and I have no new lost clusters so far, even
when using clr.bat. So I will soon consider 1.66 to be closed and I
will put it online. Also, one inch will be 25.4 milimeters now ;-)

Thanks ;-)

Thank you very much for being Arachne user/tester, Glenn ;-) Without
you, I would really feel like Arachne is not usable for anyone ;-)

Great. Thanks. I think my ownly virus is my extremely corrupted
filesystem as a result of many DOS crashes and not running chkfs...
I am considering addding some echo "!>c:\mounted" at the end of
outoexec, and some "halt.bat" doing "del c:\mounted" and adding
"if exist c:\mounted chkfs c: /f" at the begining of Autoexec. Or I
will just put chkfs there by default...
