OK, a few issues about your proposed inclusions in JDOSDIST :
1. Yes, you can include the PKWARE shareware package (I think),
but users will only be able to use it for an evaluation period.
Consider instead ZIP and UNZIP from Info-Zip (www.info-zip.org).
This has the following advantages :
- It's free.
- It indexes large ZIP's much faster than PKUNZIP.
- It can extract stuff from Windoze self-executable ZIP's.
- UNZIP32 is compatible with Henrik Haftmann's DOSLFN,
whereas PKUNZIP 2.50 isn't.
The only disadvantage is that InfoZip still (!) doesn't support
ZIP spanning over multiple diskettes.
2. No, I don't think you can distribute TASM (Borland/Inprise).
Consider instead NASM (www.web-sites.co.uk/nasm ), it's free.
