Hello Reuben:
Since you live in my area I thought I would write you first. Thanks for the
link to the
CTMOUSE driver download from the internet. I am still using the Mindspring {they
changed their
name to Earthlink} for an ISP, but I don't use the IE ver. 3.0 or the Eudora Lite
just Juno for Windows and Arachne e-mail cli
nt.
This CTMOUSE sounds interesting but maybe people use it with mice that are more
"non-Microsoft compatible". I use a standard OEM Logitech mouse and use either the
the Logitech ver. 6.43 or the Microsoft ve
. 6.24 which is from 1988. If I load in the Logitech, it takes
up a whole 25k of extended memory but it works like a charm for DOS surfing, etc.
but when I
load Windows I am also using Logitech driver. This seems like workable, but decreases
somewhat the available memory for using
indows applications {not that I want to over-rely on
them. What I mean, is that I can't unload DRVSPACE because I don't use Windows 95
and I don't
have the available memory {limited to about 613k or less} to run a more modern DOS
word processor. So that makes me a little W
ndows dependent, even though I don't like to be.
Yes, I don't want to bore you to tears, Reuben. I am trying to get an
old-style AT box so
I can build a new computer with more extended memory, etc. but it will take time. I
used Respond.com to have any suppliers of
"more modern" workstation case e-mail me an advertisement for six months, but I
haven't gotten any responses from them.
Sorry if I digress. Seems like a lot of people out there prefer a mouse
driver that uses
less than 20K of memory. Could someone e-mail me the software at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
And thanks to the List, my Arachne is w
rking.
Yours,
Thomas Tabler
