Recent versions of 'rachne ignored "curly" or "smart" quotes, but the
"macron" (Z or z with a caron) has re-appeared.

These punctuation marks have numeric entitites ‘ thru ” and are
"de rigeur" for stylish documents, but _do_ have questionable conformance.
Nevertheless, to have them replaced by characters from the Polish(?)
alphabet is annoying. Glenn G has also reported this sort of substitution.

Regards,

Jake
