Recent versions of 'rachne ignored "curly" or "smart" quotes, but the "macron" (Z or z with a caron) has re-appeared. These punctuation marks have numeric entitites ‘ thru ” and are "de rigeur" for stylish documents, but _do_ have questionable conformance. Nevertheless, to have them replaced by characters from the Polish(?) alphabet is annoying. Glenn G has also reported this sort of substitution. Regards, Jake Is L.D. under canvas?
