I think that Pegasus checks for that when you use the extract 
function. I think I extracted to a duplicate filename once and I 
cannot remember if it prompted me for another name or changed it 
automatically.

No I have not tried that, but I should think it would work with any 
directory so long as the full path is provide correctly.
