Relax... I still use assembly even more than C in my work.
The reasons  I sometimes tend to do C programming are mostly the lack of time 
at my disposal and, very important, the existence of the floating point and 
math libraries.
Anyway, when it comes to buggy, crappy, hastily written software, it really 
doesn't matter what tools had been used to produce it.
