By dynamic assignment and BOOTP you are referring to the dynamic
assignment of IP numbers.  If you are using a dialup modem connection
your IP number will be dynamically assigned unless you have a static
IP.

Dynamic DNS addressing is a process whereby the DNS numbers are
automagically determined by software protocols after you have
connected to the number you dial to reach your ISP.

Prior to being dynamically assigned an IP number your DNS numbers
must first be addressed.

Dynamic DNS addressing and dynamic IP assignment are not the same.
They are separate processes.  The latter process follows the former.
