Maybe in two years' time IE6 will look the lesser of all the then-current
evils, necessary to accomplish anything at all where our personal details
need to be handled securely  :-(

The information is of interest to those of us with webpages applicable
to, shall we say, a general audience. Within a few months, a significant
proportion of that audience will be using IE6.

If we add <meta name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="TRUE"> we
retain some control of our pages; make a small protest; and hopefully
reduce annoyance for IE6 users.

But will the pages drop in search rankings? I find MSN searches quite
a useful source of visitors.
