Gee, Clarence, that was sure fun....<g g g>...after I did all that,
then tried to redial, I found that WATTCP.CFG is ABSOLUTELY required
for my setup to connect....<g>
...so...after I turned everything off (doing that had munged up the
initialization configuration inside my external Phoebe modem) and
completely rebooted (after renaming WATTCP.SAV back to WATTCP.CFG)
I am able to send this reply....

....so...what's the next step...???

...I feel like we're making progress....<g g g>....and the thought
of having a MIME.CFG .dgi-type set up so that whenever I run into an
https URL, MIME will just automagically kick SSHDOS in, giving me the
Username/Password boxes....which I fill in and click the SEND button,
whereupon Arachne continues on, with me NOW signed on to that https
site and smoothly surfing away....hmmm....

I hafta admit that sounds sorta like Mel's idea of NIRVANA...but https
induced, not marmite induced.....<g g g>

......gregy

PS...that is sort of the way I want Arachne to respond-to/deal-with
javascript.....not built-into Arachne, just a call-up plug-in, so to
speak.....so...if we can get this SSHDOS thing to work for a dummy like
me....then maybe we can adapt the techniques to running a minimal
JS plug-in.....
